Player Review
Michael Ippoliti showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in North Carolina on October 4th, 2020. He has a nice, long frame and he is able to move on his feet well. Starting form is good and he is a smooth Long Snapper. Big fan of Michael’s when he doesn’t try to overstep the ball. His upper body quickness is very good and I like his follow through. If Michael can get his legs fully involved (slow motion drills will help a ton) he will easily be able to get the ball back to the punter under .79 at VEGAS in November and/or January. He has good accuracy and consistency, increasing his overall speed will be a major key to moving up the rankings.
Accomplishments
RSI (Rubio Standard Index) is a scoring process developed by Rubio Long Snapping that weighs the average speed of the snap along with points for accuracy on the Rubio Target. Bonus points are awarded for a superior range of snap times.
