Player Review

Grant Richey did well at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in TX on December 5th, 2020. His starting form is very good and he has solid follow through. His eyes and upper body are good. Like to see Richey focus on getting more of his long legs fully involved in the process to gain more speed on the ball. He is very close to getting his legs fully locked and, when he does, his ball will easily be sub .80. Also, I want to see Richey make sure his hands are quicker to get the ball out of the gate without any hitch. He is strong enough where he doesn’t need to lift the ball up so much prior. Good student of the position and Richey is coachable.

Richey showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping Texas Camp on June 14th, 2020. He has good balance and his starting form is solid. Reaches back to the punter like a champ. Slow motion drills will help a ton to get his lower half fully involved in the process. If Richey can get his legs going in the right direction, he will drastically increase his speed at the Underclassmen Invitational. Good listener with a solid amount of upside. 

Accomplishments

RSI (Rubio Standard Index) is a scoring process developed by Rubio Long Snapping that weighs the average speed of the snap along with points for accuracy on the Rubio Target. Bonus points are awarded for a superior range of snap times.
