Player Review
NIck had a very good day at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in New Jersey on December 18, 2022. His upper body works about as well as you can train a snapper to use it. Eyes, elbow drive and finish are what helped Nick throw one of the most accurate, catchable balls at the camp. He has a very strong frame and does a nice job using length to generate power in his delivery. One area I think NIck could see some very quick and drastic improvement would be his use of his lower body. He does use his legs but because his stance is so wide they take a little longer to start and finish. If he narrows his stance just a little bit, I think he will not only improve the power that his legs are providing but also find that they are working with the rest of his body in a more timely manner. Nick will give himself a very good opportunity to compete with the very best at Vegas XLI in January.Wilderson showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping Rising Seniors Camp on July 9-10, 2022. Great attitude and he handles pressure well. Easy Long Snapper to speak and good upside. Coachable Long Snapper that is able to learn quickly. Upper body gets through well to the punter. His upper body not only gets through well, but is super quick. Need to see Wilderson focus on speeding up his legs to get on the same page as his upper body. Locking down that timing is going to push Wilderson to the next level.
Accomplishments
RSI (Rubio Standard Index) is a scoring process developed by Rubio Long Snapping that weighs the average speed of the snap along with points for accuracy on the Rubio Target. Bonus points are awarded for a superior range of snap times.
