Stephen showed a lot of good things on December 8, 2019 at the Rubio Long Snapping regional camp in Arizona. Extremely upbeat and positive attitude and beyond coachable. Would like to see him focus on his form and flexibility/stretching to allow his legs to lock all the way out. Does a great job getting his eyes back and following through. Excited to see him compete at future Rubio Long Snapping events!Stephen showed a ton of potential at the Rubio Long Snapping Spring Camp in Arizona on March 31, 2019. He possesses a solid frame and can fit the mold of most any coach’s physical requirements. He is very raw but shows a lot of potential once he refines his mechanics. He is very accurate right now and does not show any tendencies of missing in a certain spot. This can be credited to his mental approach in throwing the ball with purpose on every snap and not letting ‘lazy’ reps ever take over. I would love to see Stephen maintain this mentality as he continues to work on snapping the ball with power. Accomplishing this could happen quickly if, pre snap, Stephen can drop his butt a bit in order to achieve a flatter back and create more extension with the ball out in front of his face. I expect to see Stephen much improved at his next Rubio Long Snapping event.
Louis did well at the Rubio Long Snapping Camp in AZ on December 9th, 2018. In Louis’s 1st Rubio Camp, he competed, learned and got better throughout the day. I could tell he really took a lot away from the film session. Slow motion drills will be huge for Louis as he works to get his lower half fully involved in the process. Right now, he is only using his upper half and the ball is still getting back to the punter pretty well. Once his legs get going, he will put a hole in the punter. Good attitude and upside. Snaps a really smooth ball. Excited to see him at VEGAS XXXIII in January.
