Walkes showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping Spring Camp in CA on March 1, 2020. He has a really good attitude and you could tell he was definitely listening all day long. Walkes is a really coachable Long Snapper. His balance is solid and his snapping motion is very smooth. Locking down his release point will increase his overall accuracy. At VEGAS XXXVI in May, I will be really checking on his release point and his spiral. Lay down drills will help a ton as well. Good upside.
Walkes showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in CA on October 27th, 2019. I absolutely love his frame as he can pass an eyeball test from a football field distance away. Starting form is good and he really does an excellent job of reaching all the way through to the punter. His upper body dives through like a champ. Love to see Walkes focus on increasing the overall speed of his legs so his snap speeds will be under .79 at VEGAS XXXV in January. Great upside.
