Player Review
Kerns was solid at the Rubio Long Snapping Midwest Fall Camp on December 9th, 2018. Athletic Long Snapper that moves well on his feet. Starting form is good and he has powerful hands. Like to see Kerns focus on slow motion drills to get his lower half fully involved and to gain more speed on the ball. Right now, Kerns is trying to oversnap the ball so his upper body is winding up and that will create a hitch. The hitch and winding up will actually slow the ball down. All of his power is in his athletic legs and if he gets them locked when he is snapping, his ball will be well under .85 at VEGAS XXXIII in January. Equalling the power of his hands and legs is going to be huge for Kerns. Eliminating the hitch gets him to 3.5 in no time.
