    Player Review

Welsh was very solid at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in GA on November 24th, 2019. He is a very strong Long Snapper with great starting form. Welsh snaps a powerful ball and can rip it back to the punter. If he can get his hands a little quicker out of the gate, his times will easily be in the low .7s at VEGAS XXXV in January. His power is off the charts so the potential is right there to get him to the next level.

Welsh did well during the Rubio Long Snapping 2019 Summer Tour. He was snapping well under pressure and made it to the finals of the camp. His form is good and he is quick with his hands. Ball is easy to catch and he moves well on his feet. Welsh can definitely be a factor on the punt coverage team. The more he gets his lower half involved, the more speed he will get on the ball. Very good upside and it wouldn’t surprise me to see Welsh win a fall camp or VEGAS XXXV in January.

Welsh showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in GA on December 2, 2018. He has good starting form and he is able to reach back well. His pop in his legs is very good. Need to see Welsh focus on making sure he is driving his upper body through and going straight back instead of up and then back. When he goes up first, that will cause his snap to be slower and really die along the way. Easy fix that will pay off in a big way at VEGAS XXXIII in January. Upside.

Riley showed me some good things during the 2018 Rubio Long Snapping Summer Tour. He has a great attitude and you can tell he definitely wants to learn and get better. He has quick hands and he reaches back to the punter well. Need to see Riley focus on slow motion drills to get his lower half fully involved. Literally just snapping slowly, without a ball, in front of a mirror to see his legs get fully involved will drastically increase his overall speed on the ball and easily get his times under .90 by VEGAS XXXIII in January. Huge fan of Riley's attitude. Kid always has a smile on his face.
