Player Review
Barron showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in TX on November 17, 2019. Big fan of his overall attitude and he is very coachable. Starting form is excellent and Barron is able to use his lower half well. His pop is great. If Barron can lean back a bit more so he is always falling back after the snap, he will easily improve his accuracy and consistency. Also, making sure the ball is a tad quicker out of the gate will easily get Barron’s snaps into the .7s at VEGAS XXXV in January. Easy fixes will pay off a ton and make Barron fully ready for the next level.
Barron showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping Spring Camp in TX on April 7th, 2019. He has a very good attitude and his starting form is excellent. His eyes get through really well and I love how his upper body drives through to the punter. Making sure he is focused on slow motion drills to enable his whole body to be involved in the process to get more overall speed on the ball. Barron hovers in the .9s right now but could easily be in the .8s at VEGAS XXXIV with his legs being locked. Good attitude and is coachable.
Barron showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in TX on November 18th, 2018. Starting form is good and his hands are like absolute rockets. Ball does a great job of jumping out of the gate. Getting fully set will help with accuracy and locking down his spiral. His legs are locking but just a tad slow in the process. Right now, his legs lock but it happens right after his ball gets past his shins. This will cause the ball to die along the way as it gets to the punter. Slow motion drills will help to get his timing locked down. This will greatly increase his accuracy and speed. His aggressiveness with his snapping motion makes him easily one to watch at VEGAS XXXIII in January. Good attitude.
Barron was solid during the 2018 Rubio Long Snapping Summer Tour. Form has improved a ton over the last couple of months. Starting form is good and he is getting some pretty good pop with his lower half. Really coming along nicely and his timing is much better as wel. Need to see Barron focus on lcoking down his release point to increase his overall accuracy. Doing that along with making sure he continues to build up his body will give him more power and speed.
Barron had a good day at the Rubio Long Snapping spring camp in TX on April 29th, 2018. Starting form is good and he is reaching through well. Listened really well and is definitely coachable. Need to make sure Barron locks down his timing is on point where his legs lock right when the ball is at the shins so he can create full power and more speed on the ball. Slow motion drills will help a ton. Snapping at only about ten yards for a couple weeks will build confidence and smooth out his overall snapping motion. Good upside.
