Player Review
VEGAS XXXVII (January, 2021) Player Reviews are above on the YouTube video. Ryan Young was very impressive at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in GA on December 6th! I just saw him a couple of weeks prior in Florida, I told him to work on something and, I kid you not, he really improved on that "task" since then! I absolutely LOVE that in a Long Snapper. Ball is smooth and it is catchable. Hovers in the mid .7s at all times and the harder he snaps with more confidence, the more dominant he will be. Keep a very close eye on Ryan. Really good camp for him in GA.Ryan Young showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in Florida on November 22nd, 2020. Good starting form and I like his overall attitude. Smooth snaps in the mid .7s that are easy to catch for the punter. Ryan is able to move well on his feet and should easily be a factor on the punt coverage team. His snapping motion is good and will be perfect when he makes sure he is always going straight back to the punter instead of widening out. Ryan is right on the cusp of greatness and definitely one to watch at VEGAS XXXVII in January. Player reviews for VEGAS XXXV will be done on YouTube. Athletic Long Snapper that is super coachable and snaps a crisp, clean ball that is easy to catch. Using his body well and can get the ball back in the .7s with ease. The more he drives his feet straight back and doesn't go out with them, the more dominant Young will be in the long run. I really, really liked what I saw of him at this camp.
Young was solid at the Rubio Long Snapping Spring Camp in GA on March 9th, 2020. Moves well on his feet and he has very good starting form. His pop is good and he is able to use his whole body really well to get some decent speed on the ball. Driving his elbows through will help Young to create more whip on the ball which will equate to more speed on his punt snaps. Spiral is tight and he has good consistency. Increasing the overall speed is the key to Young's greatness.
Ryan Young showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in GA on November 24th, 2019. His starting form is excellent and his hands are quick. The ball jumps out of the gate well. His balance is very good and he has all of the tools to be in the .8s at VEGAS XXXV in January. Making sure he is snapping with full power and trusting his great form will push him to the top. Good upside on Young.
Young did well at the Rubio Long Snapping NC Fall Camp on October 6th, 2019. He is really snapping with a good deal of confidence and I am loving it. Starting form is good and he is able to get his eyes through well. Making sure he is always snapping hard and going straight back will be huge for Young. Very good upside on Young and I like how well he listens. Keep a close eye on him at VEGAS XXXV in January.
Ryan Young was solid during the Rubio Long Snapping 2019 Summer Tour. He is a very athletic Long Snapper that moves really well on his feet. Young is able to use his whole body really well. Ball speeds can be dipped into the low .7s when he is really on and he locks down his spiral. Tight spiral will make the ball faster so it classifies slice through the wind and easier to catch. Big fan of Ryan and I look forward to seeing him this fall and at VEGAS XXXV. Gaining some size will be huge for Ryan’s recruiting.
Young had a good day at the Rubio Long Snapping spring camp in GA on April 22, 2018. Young is an athletic Long Snapper that moves well on his feet and can be a true factor on the punt coverage team. His hands are like absolute rockets and the ball jumps out of the gate extremely well. Biggest thing I want Young to focus on is making sure he really gets his eyes all the way through and that he is reaching all the way back with his fingers. If the starting point is A, I want to make sure Young gets his fingers all the way to Z. Tends to short arm the ball a bit and that will cause it to lose accuracy and drop off a table. Kid is good. Watch him.
