Player Review
Dezern did well during the 2018 Rubio Long Snapping Summer Tour. He has a very good frame and looks the part of an athlete. Good build that will pass an eye ball test. Starting form is good but I would like to see him rise up a bit so he is able to fully use his strong frame. Also, leaning back so he doesn't fall forward will help a ton with accuracy and speed. He has all of the tools and it will take some time for Dezern but can do this in college. I have seen it happen before with Long Snappers with his frame and his intangibles.
Dezern was solid at the Rubio Long Snapping Spring Camp in NC on March 11, 2018. He has good balance and he is consistent with his snapping speeds. Like to see Dezern focus on not thinking so much prior to the snap and just letting the ball rip out of his starting stance. In just snapping the ball hard, that will make sure he is not dragging the ball on the ground which can cause the ball to slow down and really impact the spiral. Also want to see Dezern not adjust his left fingers right before the snap as that will also impact the spiral on the ball. Very easy fixes that will pay off big time for Dezern at VEGAS XXXI in May.
