    Player Review

Cowan showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in NC on October 7th, 2018. He has a really nice frame and can pass an eyeball test pretty darn quickly. Starting form is great and he is reaching back well to the punter. He flicks the ball back well to the punter. Need to see Cown focus on getting his eyes/head through in one quick motion to increase his overall accuracy. Also, getting his lower half fully involved with increase his speed to well under .70 by VEGAS XXXIII in January. His form is so good and he is built so long that he can easily snap at the next level once he connects all of the pieces. Great upsdie and attitude.

Cowan was solid at the Rubio Long Snapping spring camp in GA on April 22, 2018. He has some very good size and reaches through really well back to the punter. Eyes are solid and Cowan has good balance. Need to see Cowan focus on slow motion drills to really get his long and powerful legs fully involved to gain more speed on the ball. His hands are smooth and quick so I want his legs to be just as smooth and quick. Speeding up the locking of his legs will easily push his ball well under .80 easily. This kid has a lot of potential.

Cowan did well at the Rubio Long Snapping Spring Camp in NC on March 11, 2018. He has good size and was one of the smoothest Long Snappers in his class. Cowan is a very fluid Long Snapper that reaches through very well. Built long so I would like to see him widen out a bit so he can use more of his legs easier which will give him more more speed on the ball. Right now, Cowan hovers in the high .8s to low .9s but could easily, and I mean easily, be sub .80 by VEGAS XXXII in May. Potential is off the charts. Watching him snap is almost soothing he is so smooth.

Cowan showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in NC on November 19th, 2017. Very long sophomore with a smooth snapping motion. Starting form is good and he reaches through really well to the punter and/or holder. Like to see him focus on slow motion drills to get his long legs involved in the process. Right now, Cowan's timing is a bit off with his legs getting involved after the process. Getting the ball timed up at his shins when he locks his legs will help him get his speeds under .80 at VEGAS XXXI. Powerful upper body still allows him to get the ball back to the punter at times just under the mid .8s. Upside on Cowan is off the charts.
