Player Review
Bland was solid at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXXIII Event on January 19-20, 2019. Great starting form and his hands are rockets. The ball jumps so well out of the gate it is almost shocking. Love his base and attitude. Ball jumps out of his hands and he can easily hit in the .7s. Reaching all the way back and following all the way through will be huge. Bland has great upside
Bland showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in TX on November 18th, 2018. Great attitude on this Long Snapper that is very coachable. His hands are extremely quick as the ball jumps out of the gate very well. Starting form is excellent as you can eat off his back. Flat back means the potential to use all of his lower half really well and that is what Bland does. Making sure he is leaning back will help with his balance and give him more accuracy. Also, making sure Bland is going straight back will help with his overall accuracy and speed. Right on the cusp of greatness and I like his attitude. He can do this at the next level and is on the right direction. Keep an eye on this Long Snapper at VEGAS XXXIII in January.
Bland did well during the 2018 Rubio Long Snapping Summer Tour. He is a thick and powerful Long Snapper with good starting form. When he is really snapping with full power, he can easily get the ball back to the punter at 15 yards in under .75. Easily has the ability to snap at the next level. Accuracy is good and he is right on the cusp of greatness. If Bland can focus on getting his upper body all the way through and go straight back instead of up and then back, he will easily be sub .70 and even more accurate than he is right now. Slow motion drills will help a ton. Keep a very close eye on Bland this fall and at VEGAS XXXIII in January. Big jump in the rankings and well deserved.
