Player Review
Otero was solid at the Rubio Long Snapping Spring Camp in NC on March 11, 2018. Coachable Long Snapper that listens well and improves quickly. His snaps are accurate with good consistency. Each snap looks the same which is good. Need to see Otero focus a ton on leaning back so he is not falling forward after the snap. When he falls forward, it will impact the accuracy, speed and not allow him to have as much power as he could if he was leaning back. Easy fix that we covered in the film session and I expect it to not be an issue at VEGAS XXXII in May.
Otero showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in NC on July 9th, 2017. Really liked how well Otero reaches all the way back to the punter. It almost looks like he is trying to hand the ball to him. Love to see Otero focus on slow motion drills to get his lower half fully involved to gain more speed on the ball. Getting his legs going will get him well under .90 by the time of the NC camp and definitely by VEGAS XXXI.
Accomplishments
RSI (Rubio Standard Index) is a scoring process developed by Rubio Long Snapping that weighs the average speed of the snap along with points for accuracy on the Rubio Target. Bonus points are awarded for a superior range of snap times.
2018 NC Spring Camp RSI: 6.25
2017 NC Summer Camp RSI: 3
