Hughes showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping GA summer camp on July 11, 2017. He is a large Long Snapper with good, powerful hands. Balance is good and he leans back well. Love to see Hughes focus on slow motion drills to get his massive lower half fully involved to gain more overall speed on the ball while creating a very smooth snapping motion. Hughes is so strong that once his legs are fully involved and he doesn't have a hitch with his upper body, he would be snapping well under .80 by VEGAS XXXI and possibly even faster. Sky is the lmiit once he gets legs moving and increases his athleticism.
Accomplishments
RSI (Rubio Standard Index) is a scoring process developed by Rubio Long Snapping that weighs the average speed of the snap along with points for accuracy on the Rubio Target. Bonus points are awarded for a superior range of snap times.
