Shaner showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping spring camp in IL on April 23, 2017. He has a very good frame and does a nice job of reaching all the way back to the punter. His frame is excellent and could pass for a college athlete soon. Love to see him focus on slow motion drills to get more use of his lower half. He can snap in the mid .8s and could easily be under .8 with some minimal tweaks by VEGAS 30. The potential is off the charts for Joel and it would be wise to keep a close eye on him over the next year. Easily could make massive jumps soon.
Accomplishments
RSI (Rubio Standard Index) is a scoring process developed by Rubio Long Snapping that weighs the average speed of the snap along with points for accuracy on the Rubio Target. Bonus points are awarded for a superior range of snap times. Scoring range is 0-80 with a 60.61 being the highest recorded.
