Player Review
Axel did very well at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXXI Event on January 12-14, 2018. First off, the kid is incredibly intelligent (check out his GPA and ACT!!!!) that is going to sail right in academically to any school that wants him. Second, he is very athletic and can run like the wind. Very smooth on hiss feet and destroyed the agility section of the weekend. Ball is quick and he can easily snap a college level speed ball right now. Really like to see Axel focus on getting his timing locked down so the football is right at his shins when he locks his legs. If he can do that, his accuracy and speed will greatly increase. Sky is the limit for Axel.
Axel was very impressive at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in WA on October 22, 2017. Kid is very good athlete that will, no doubt, be a factor on the punt coverage team. Axel can flat out move on the field and he can move well. Form is very good and he can get the ball back, at times, sub .75 at 15 yards. If he can speed up his legs just a tad, he will average under .725 by VEGAS XXXI. The potential for Axel is beyond high and he is someone college coaches should definitely keep an eye on. I would be shocked to see him not on a college roster next year. Consistency of speed and confidence are going to be huge for him in the next couple of months. Always improving.
