    Player Review

Purcell was impressive again at the Rubio Long Snapping NC Spring Camp on March 10th, 2019. Thick and powerful Long Snapper with quick hands.. His balance is good and he is able to get some solid pop on his legs. If Purcell can get his back parallel to the ground and extend the ball out a bit, his speed will be off the charts. His hands are so quick the reaching the ball out a bit (about 4-6 inches) will create a ton of whip on the ball and easily get him in the low .7s. Easy fixes will pay off big time by VEGAS XXXIV in May for Purcell. Strong Long Snapper

Purcell showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in NC on October 7th, 2018. He is a thick and powerful Long Snapper with some very quick hands. His balance is solid and he is leaning back well. Really need to see Purcell get fully set and, most importantly, get his butt down so his back is parallel to the ground. If he can get his back flat, his speed will be off the charts since he is so strong. Very easy fix that will pay off a ton at VEGAS XXXIII. He has all of the tools to greatness and just needs to put them all into use.

Purcell was solid during the 2018 Rubio Long Snapping Summer Tour. He has some quick hands and can already get the ball into the .7s. Using his whole body really well and gets some good pop from his lower half. Like to see Purcell make sure he is getting fully set to increase his overall accuracy and speed. Also, making sure he extends the ball out a bit more at the start will create more whip which will equal more speed as well. Great attitutde and he is always improving. Big fan of the direction Purcell is headed.

Purcell impressed me at the Rubio Long Snapping Spring Camp in NC on March 11, 2018. He has very good size and his hands are very quick. His hands are so lightening fast that it can be hard to time Purcell. Like to see him use all of his length by either extending the ball a bit in front of him or just getting on the ball and scooting back a bit. This will make Purcell a “taller” Long Snapper (already has good height) and give him more whip from his elbows. Locking down his spiral will help with speed as well. Purcell has all of the tools to be one of the greats and I just need to see him put it all together. Great upside.

Purcell was solid at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXXI Event on January 12-14, 2018. Big fan of how quickly his ball comes out of the gate. It really jumps and it impresses me as it will college coaches as well. Locking down his spiral is the first thing Purcell needs to focus on to increase the overall speed and how easily his ball can be caught by the punter and/or holder. Leading with his elbows and not dipping his right shoulder will create more whip which will turn into better speed. Purcell can hit in the .7s and I want to see it all the time. No more snaps above .85 should be the goal for him as we move into spring and VEGAS XXXII this May. Great student of Long Snapping.

Purcell did well at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in NC on November 19th, 2017. Athletic Long Snapper with very quick hands. The ball really jumps out of the gate well and gets a head start on the other Long Snappers in his class. Purcell has a good attitude and is coachable. Need to see him focus on getting his eyes/head all the way through to the punter so his speed and, more importantly, his accuracy will be improved. With his form and hands, getting his eyes/head through will drastically increase his overall accuracy and consistency. Having someone put their hand on his head to drive it through would be something I would work on about three times per week. I am fully expecting it to be fixed by VEGAS XXXI.
