Player Review
Mason showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXXIII Event on January 19-20, 2019. He has a nice, thick frame and his starting form is good. His hands are quick and they reach back well. Making sure he is focused on getting his legs to time up with his elbows will be huge. Removing the slight hitch will really pick up the overall speed of the ball. Strong hands and he moves well going forward.Mason did well at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in CA on October 28, 2018. He is a thick and powerful Long Snapper that snaps with good strength. Mason is using his whole body well and I like watching the pop he gets from his legs. I would like to see him focus on being a bit quicker out of the gate and not winding up when he is snapping the ball. If he can not have any knee/butt hitch, his times would easily be in the .7s since he is so strong and gets so much of his lower half involved. Very good upside and I like the direction he is headed as we move towards VEGAS XXXIII in January.
