Player Review
DJ showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXIX Event on January 14-15, 2017. His hands are really quick and he gets the ball out of the gate well. Ball tends to move to the punter's right but is fixed easily with both hands coming back equally. Balance is solid as his speed. By locking down his accuracy (hands being equal) he will be able to really raise his RSI up by VEGAS 30 in May. Increasing his athleticism will push him way up the rankings. Lateral movement will be key. Very good strength.Accomplishments
VEGAS XXIX Average 15 Yard Snap Speed: .80VEGAS XXIX 40 Time: 5.47
VEGAS XXIX RSI (Rubio Standard Index) from the Rubio Target: 18.92
All Long Snappers were tested on The Rubio Target. Each Long Snapper was tested on 12 punt snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set) and 12 pat snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set). Once the Long Snapper has completed the test, they earn an RSI which is the fairest and most accurate way to judge a Long Snapper by numbers. Please note: the RSI does not account for athleticism, spiral or mentality.
RSI (Rubio Standard Index): The RSI is the score divided by the average speed on The Rubio Target. You may obtain 2 bonus points for an average of .75-.79, 2 more bonus points for an average of .70-.74 and an additional 2 more bonus points if you average below .70.
