    Player Review
Higgins showed me some good things at VEGAS XXIX on January 14-15, 2017. His form is good and can snap a nice ball. I would love to see Higgins focus on the consistency of his ball. When he is on, he is REALLY on and can easily snap a D1 ball. Athleticism is solid for a Long Snapper and he can be a factor in punt coverage. I have watched Higgins snap several times and he is always improving. Incredible attitude that a coach will love at the next level.

Higgins did well at the Rubio Long Snapping fall camp in IL on September 25, 2016. Body is strong and he does a good job of using his whole body when he is snapping the ball. Gets up pretty quickly after the snap which is good for blocking. When he is blocking, he needs to make sure he doesn't open his hips as that will allow the defender to go right by him. Good pop on his ball and he explodes well. Locking down the release point will really increase his accuracy by VEGAS XXIX.
    Accomplishments
VEGAS XXIX Average 15 Yard Snap Speed: .83
    VEGAS XXIX 40 Time: 5.49
VEGAS XXIX RSI (Rubio Standard Index) from the Rubio Target: 21.62

All Long Snappers were tested on The Rubio Target. Each Long Snapper was tested on 12 punt snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set) and 12 pat snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set). Once the Long Snapper has completed the test, they earn an RSI which is the fairest and most accurate way to judge a Long Snapper by numbers. Please note: the RSI does not account for athleticism, spiral or mentality.

RSI (Rubio Standard Index): The RSI is the score divided by the average speed on The Rubio Target. You may obtain 2 bonus points for an average of .75-.79, 2 more bonus points for an average of .70-.74 and an additional 2 more bonus points if you average below .70.
