Blaise had a good weekend at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXIX Event on January 14-15, 2017. His flexibility is solid for his size and he is very strong throughout his whole body. I would like to see Blaise focus on leaning back more so he goes back instead of falling forward. Also, slow motion drills to get his lower half fully involved in the snap will really increase the speed of his snap and raise his RSI up as we head to AZ in the spring and VEGAS 30 in May. Good base and he is headed in the right direction.

All Long Snappers were tested on The Rubio Target. Each Long Snapper was tested on 12 punt snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set) and 12 pat snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set). Once the Long Snapper has completed the test, they earn an RSI which is the fairest and most accurate way to judge a Long Snapper by numbers. Please note: the RSI does not account for athleticism, spiral or mentality.
RSI (Rubio Standard Index): The RSI is the score divided by the average speed on The Rubio Target. You may obtain 2 bonus points for an average of .75-.79, 2 more bonus points for an average of .70-.74 and an additional 2 more bonus points if you average below .70.
