Player Review
Austin showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping spring camp in NC on March 13, 2016. He is a very strong Long Snapper with good, powerful hands. Love to see him lock down his spiral and get his eyes/head through with one quick motion. Big man and if he can use his whole body (including head) with full power, he will crush the punter. Spiral will be key in moving forward.Liked what I saw out of Austin at the Rubio Long Snapping fall camp in NC. He is a big, strong Long Snapper with good power. Need to see him loosen up his snapping motion a bit to be more fluid. Also, leaning back will help with gaining more speed on the ball. Shows good accuracy and consistency. Strong. More explosion will help. Uses his lower half well just need to see it really explode!
Austin did well at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in NC. Passes the eyeball test quickly and showed me good power when snapping the ball. Overall form is solid and he snaps a catchable ball. Needs to make sure he works on bending his elbows to create more whip on the ball which will equate to more speed. Snapping with full power will help as well. Love the upside on this kid and I am excited to see him this fall and in VEGAS.
