Player Review
McAbee is a very strong, physical Long Snapper that has a good amount of power in his upper body. Want to see him lock down the timing of the legs locking so he can get all of his lower half involved and really gain a lot more speed. He can hit in the .7s, at times, and I want to see him do it every single time. I know by the fall and, definitely, VEGAS XXVII, he should be consistent with that speed. Good attitude.Liked what I saw of McAbee at VEGAS XXVI in May. Strong Long Snapper with very powerful hands. Needs to make sure he gets his legs fully involved and their timing locked down so that his arms aren't quicker than his legs. Timing will be key in getting the speed up. Moves with power and could be just a tad looser when moving side to side. LOVE his attitude.
McAbee did well at the Rubio Long Snapping fall camp in IL. He shows good pop and promise. Snaps the ball hard. Love to see him make sure he is going back first instead of up and back. Good improvement. His timing for locking his legs is just a tad off but is easily fixed with some slow motion drills. Hands are strong and needs to make sure they aren't too strong so they don't impact the spiral. Very good attitude and coachable.
