Player Review
Watkins is coming along nicely and showed me great things at VEGAS XXVI in May. Ball is accurate and easy to catch. Speed is very good and he is one of the best when he snaps the ball with full power. The more confidence he has in himself and his snapping ability, the better he will be. Keep a very close eye on him over the next couple of months. VERY good athlete.Watkins had a VERY good day at the Rubio Long Snapping spring camp in NC. He is beginning to snap the ball with some very good confidence and I love that in my Long Snappers. The more he trusts his form (which is great) and just lets the ball go, with full power, the better he will be in the long run. Needs to make sure he is always leaning back and following through with his fingers for a tight spiral and perfect accuracy. I was really impressed with Watkins and you should be keeping an eye on him at VEGAS XXVI....EVENT ELITE?
Watkins had a great weekend out at VEGAS XXV. Pure athlete that shows great potential with his snapping. Built really well. Love to see him widen out his stance a bit to make sure he can get his upper body all the way through for better speed and accuracy. Timing is just a tad off where his upper body is quicker than his lower half. This will cause the ball to die along the way at times. Kid dominated the agility and tackling station
