Player Review
Edwards is really coming along and looked very good at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXVII Event on January 21-22, 2016. He is really hitting his stride and at the right time. The last year has been outstanding for him and he is continuing to head in the right direction. Form is good and he has good accuracy. Really starting to snap with confidence. Making sure he leads with his elbows and doesn't drag the ball will greatly increase the speed of his ball and get him into the .6s consistently. Great attitude and he is a workhorse.Edwards did well at the Rubio Long Snapping fall camp in TX. When he is on, he is REALLY on. He can catch a groove quickly and when he catches that groove, he can snap in the high .6s. Great form and generates a lot of power from his thick, strong body. Needs to focus on making sure he is getting his fingers all the way through to the punter so the ball gets a good rotation and is on target. Workhorse that will make a college coach very happy next year and the years to come. Consistency of greatness will be key.
VERY big jump in the rankings for Edwards and well deserved after what I saw at the Rubio Long Snapping summer camp in TX. Kid is on fire and snapping with a ton of confidence. Ball is coming back with a lot of heat and he is showing good accuracy. Locking down his release point will increase accuracy. Love to see some more size on him as well. Dad is a large man so there is definitely potential. Kid has a TREMENDOUS attitude and will make a college coach very happy.
