    Player Review
    Rubio Long Snapping History

    Student Since: 2010

    Latest Evaluation: 7/12

McGarry has come a long, long way with his Long Snapping. Started off very average and awkward but turned himself into one of the best in the country. He is snapping with a lot of confidence and really whipping the ball back there to the punter. When he is comfortable and calm, he is phenomenal. Great person with a bright future. Smart.

McGarry came out the Spring Texas camp and did VERY well for himself. Snapping the ball hard and smooth. As stated before, when he is relaxed and calm, he is fantastic. He is very smart so he can tend to overthink. When he doesn't think and just lets his body do what it has been taught, he dominates. Snaps a very catchable ball and make it to the finals round so he can handle pressure well. The more he focuses on snapping and relaxing, the more dominant he will be. Good kid. 3/12

McGarry, when calm and relaxed, is outstanding. As with many Long Snappers, he is smart and tends to overthink. When he is just relaxing and having a good time, he is exceptional. Has the ability to be a great Long Snapper due to his size, great form and attitude. Has very good explosion on his snap with his legs and from his hands. Ball comes out at you pretty quick. Love when he snaps the ball hard. Beyond smart so he picks up what you are teaching him very quickly. Excellent person that can snap at the next level.

McGarry is starting to really get some confidence and trust his form. Great for him. Bad for others in front of him. EXTREMELY cerebral Long Snapper that does his absolute best when he is NOT thinking about the whole process. Ball can be very quick....easily hitting college speeds. Form is solid and accuracy is even better. Great kid that improves every single time I see him.

McGarry is the same height and weight but his body looks different....in a good way. More muscular and still moves well. Ball is on target and speed, at times, is very solid. Couple form hiccups to start the day that were easily rectified once discovered. Very good attitude and works harder. Trick may be keeping him to play only one sport in college...word is he is quite the baseball player as well. Form is very solid. Good kid.

WOW! That sums up my reaction when I watched McGarry at the Dallas camp this summer. His improvement is uncanny and he seems to be just getting better by the second. Listens to everything you tell him and locks it in. Very set on getting better with his snapping. Very good kid that obviously works extremely hard. He has improved as quickly as anyone I have every worked in the past decade. Keep an eye on him.

Here we go McGarry. Coming along nicely big man. That is what I wanted to see. Form is improving very quickly and he is starting to use his long frame. Waits a tad too long and that causes thinking....I don't need that. Very accurate and smooth. Really want to see him simply speed up the process and really let the ball POP out of his hands. Keeps improving like this and he will be solid. 20 spot jump in one month. Well done.

Continues to improve with his Long Snapping. Tell McGarry what to do, give him some and simply consider it done. Good frame and very flexible. Hands are quick and hit the right release point. Legs, and using all of them, will be key for gaining speed. Little bit of a hop at times and/or not locking is causing the ball to arch. Good kid.
