Player Review
Matthew Reyes did well at the Rubio Long Snapping Spring Camp in TX on March 5th, 2023. Matthew has excellent starting form, you can practically eat off his back, which is perfect since you want it to be parallel to the ground. The spiral is very tight, and he snaps a smooth ball back to the punter. When he is on, he is very on. I can basically snap a college level ball right now. Need to make sure that Matthew focuses on getting his eyes all the way through his that will drastically improved his overall accuracy. Also, doing some slow motion drills to really lock down. His timing will be huge. Right now his upper body is so darn quick, his legs can't keep up. So, once they are timed up, the snap speeds will be college level very consiste really smooth side Long Snapper and I look forward to seeing him at Vegas in May. Consistency of speed will be the big thing that I am looking for to get into a 4.5.Matthew Reyes showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XLI Event on January 14-15, 2023! His spiral is very tight and the ball practically sticks to the punters hands on his snaps. His starting form is good and his snapping motion is really smooth. His speed is pretty good and it will be great if he can get his legs fully involved (slow motion drills will help a ton ) and driving his upper body through to the punter instead of up and then back. Athletically, Reyes flies on his feet and definitely runs downhill. Good aggression and Reyes has very solid upside. Excited to see Reyes at TX this spring and at VEGAS XLII in May!
