Player Review
Evan Wakefield showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XLI Event on January 14-15, 2023! Smooth Long Snapper that has good upside. His hands are quick and the ball jumps out of the gate well. His follow through is solid as he reaches back to the punter and practically hands the ball to him. Love to see Evan focus on slow motion drills to get his full body involved in the snapping motion. If Evan can do that, he would be snapping a college level ball very quickly. Pressing the gas and going full speed with his snapping and doing athletically will be massive for Evan. Good kid with solid upside.Evan showed a ton of potential at the Fall Utah Camp. He has a great frame and is extremely athletic. Evan absolutely rips the ball when he snaps hard. He has very good flexibility and does a great job finishing deep. I would like to see Evan work on his control in order to eliminate his tendency to miss low. If he can control the ball through his snap and make a habit out of consistently finishing his hands high and deep, he will be competing against anyone. I can't wait to see Evans improvement at January Vegas.
