Sam Wahlberg was very solid at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in IL on December 11th, 2022. Big and thick Long Snapper what is built like a brick house. his starting form is gorgeous and he snaps with some great power. Love how aggressive Sam drives his chest through and explodes back to the punter. The more he gets set first and then snaps, the more accurate / consistent Sam will be. Also, really driving his eyes / head through will increase his overall speed and accuracy. Really solid Long Snapper that you will want to keep an eye on at VEGAS XLI in January!
Sam showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XL Event on May 14-15, 2022. First off, he is a very strong Long Snapper that is built like a brick house. Starting form is good and he snaps the ball with a lot of aggression. When Sam goes straight back instead of up and back, he easily snaps a D1 ball back to the punter. Driving his elbows to create more whip will give Sam more speed on his punt snaps. Runs downhill well and will dominate his class when he is able to get out of the breaks a tad quicker. Very good attitude and tons of upside. Excited to see Sam at the Rising Seniors Camp!
