Player Review
Max Johnston did well at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in Dallas, TX. on October 30th, 2022. Thick and strong Long Snapper with great starting form. Max is using his whole body well and gets some solid pop on the ball. When his spiral is tight, the ball will slice through the air and make his snap speeds much quicker. The big thing I want Johnston to focus on before VEGAS XLI in January is getting his eyes through. If he can get his eyes/head through to the punter, his overall accuracy, consistency and speed. Super easy fix that will pay off big time for Maxwell in the long run
Max was solid at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XL Event on May 14-15, 2022. He is a thick and powerful Long Snapper that has quick hands. He gets down, gets set and the ball bursts out of the gate. His release point is good and his accuracy is coming along nicely. Getting fully aligned every single time and following all the way through with his fingers will increase his overall accuracy. Loosening up, driving his elbows and using more of his strong butt and legs will increase his speed. Good set up right now and he is headed in the right direction. Upside is solid and I am excited to see him at the Rising Seniors Camp!
