Carson Steiner was solid at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in TX on December 5th, 2020. Energetic and personable Long Snapper from southern Idaho that snaps a good, powerful ball. One of the best things about Steiner is how aggressive he is with his snapping. Once he gets down on the ball, he really fires it back with almost anger to the punter, and I love it. Locking down his spiral and release point are the two big things I will be looking for at VEGAS XXXVII in January. Moves well on his feet and is always improving. Two easy fixes will push him way up the rankings ladder.
Carson showed me some good things at a private lesson in Lewiston, ID. He is an extremely personable Long Snapper that is coachable. Listens well and he is able to pick up things quickly. Really improves well during a short amount of time. Love to see Carson focus on speeding up his legs to match the pace of his upper body. Ball is in the high .8s and has solid accuracy. The faster he moves his legs and the more they get involved, the more dominant he will be in the long run.
Accomplishments
RSI (Rubio Standard Index) is a scoring process developed by Rubio Long Snapping that weighs the average speed of the snap along with points for accuracy on the Rubio Target. Bonus points are awarded for a superior range of snap times.
