Player Review
Tate was outstanding at the Rubio Long Snapping TOP 12 Camp on Jul 12-14, 2022. He did so well that he was chosen as a TOP 12 Member! His snapping motion is very smooth and powerful. He gets down, gets set and then explodes back to the punter. Zero wasted movement so Tate's ball jumps out of the gate quickly and basically gets a headstart and almost cheats back to the punter. When Tate drives his head/eyes through to the punter, he simply never misses his target. Smooth on his feet athletically and he is easy to speak to as well. Solid personality and the Texas coaches are going to like him on and off the field.Tate was tremendous at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XL Event on May 14-15, 2022. He did so well that he ended up being the overall champion of the weekend and earning a TOP 12 Invite! His snapping form is gorgeous and he has zero wasted movement. He gets down, gets set and then just flat out explodes back to the punter. The ball is very quick and well under .75 so Tate is already snapping college level speeds and he still has a year left of high school. Moves well on his feet and obviously can handle pressure really well. Dominant weekend for Tate.
