Slade was tremendous at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in North Carolina on October 4th, 2020. He has a great frame and room to put on some good weight over the next couple of years. Body is easily good enough to play at the next level right now and the kid can move on his feet very well. His snaps are very smooth. His ball was hovering well under .75 all day long and when Slade drives his eyes/head through, his ball will be in the mid to high .6s! When he is on, Slade is easily one of the top Long Snappers in his class. There is no doubt this kid can play at the next level and will make a college coach very happy over the next five years.
Slade Roy had a great day at the Rubio Long Snapping Spring Camp in NC on March 7, 2020. Athletic Long Snapper that made it all the way to finals and was literally inches from winning the whole thing. His ball is looking great and Slade snaps a very smooth ball back to the punter. He has done a great job of getting the ball out of the gate quicker with minimal wasted movement. If Slade snaps the way I know he can at VEGAS XXXVI in May, there is no doubt he will earn an invite to the TOP 12 Camp. Keep a very close eye on Slade.
Slade was very impressive at the Rubio Long Snapping NC Fall Camp on October 6th, 2019. He has tremendous size and can pass an eyeball test right now. The overall potential on him is off the charts. He has the frame and power to be snapping for a long, long time. Strong Long Snapper. The quicker he can get the ball out of the gate, the faster his overall times will be. If he snaps the way I know he can, I would be shocked to see Slade not pick up a TOP 12 Camp invite. Keep a very close eye on him at VEGAS XXXV and watch him make way to earn an All-American spot.
Slade was very solid during the Rubio Long Snapping 2019 Summer Tour. He has a nice long frame that has room to put on some good weight over the next couple of years. Starting form is excellent and his balance is solid. Strong and powerful hands get the ball back quickly. Moved well on his feet and should easily be a factor on the punt coverage team. Strong bodied Long Snapper that can easily snap at the next level. Like to see Slade focus on being a bit quicker with his hands out of the gate with zero wasted movement. Great upside and I am excited to see him this fall and at VEGAS XXXV in January.
