Hawthorne was excellent at the Rubio Long Snapping Summer Camp in TX on June 29th. He ended up winning the speed competition in the end with times in the .6s. His ball was like a rocket all day long and he was so impressive that I offered him a TOP 12 Camp Invitation on the spot! Body is strong, he is improving quickly and there is no doubt he can snap at the next level. Locking down his spiral and making sure he is always following through with both hands will benefit Hawthorne a ton. Great kid.
Hawthorne was solid at the Rubio Long Snapping Spring Camp in TX on April 7th, 2019. He has a great frame and is built very strong. Powerful Long Snapper that can pass an eyeball test quickly from a college coach. Starting form is good and he is able to use his whole body pretty darn well. The timing of his legs is almost perfect. Making sure he is not overthinking too much and that his spiral is locked down will help out a ton. Massive upside on Hawthorne and I like his potential. Easy fixes will pay off a ton at VEGAS XXXIV in May.
