Player Review
Garrett Wilson was solid during the Rubio Long Snapping 2019 Summer Tour. Strong Long Snapper that has a very solid frame. He is able to use his powerful body very well and he is able to get some very solid speed on the ball. He hd no problem getting snaps into the mid to low .7s. Love to see Wilson focus on locking down his release point to increase his overall accuracy. No doubt he is on e of the top Long Snappers to watch this fall and at VEGAS XXXV in January. TOP 12?
Wilson came out from Louisiana and did well at the Rubio Long Snapping Spring Camp in TX on April 7th, 2019. Very strong Long Snapper that can definitely fill out a start. This kid is built really well. Starting form is good and he is using all of his body really well. When he is on, Wilson can rip the ball back to the punter and crush the. I would actually like to see him get his butt up just a tad so his back is fully flat to the ground. This will allow is lower half to be as quick as his upper half and then his timing will be perfect. Hovered in the mid .7s and can easily average in the low .7s to high .6s at VEGAS XXXIV in May. Really, really good Long Snapper.
Garrett did very well at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXXIII Event on January 19-20, 2019. He has good size and is built thick. Starting form is very good and he is able to use his body really well for his age. Moves with a purpose on his feet. Aggressive movements. Powerful Long Snapper. Locking down his release point will increase his overall accuracy and driving his elbows will increase his speed. VERY good upside on Garrett. Always improving. Trust me, keep an eye on this kid.
