    Player Review

Westfelt was pretty darn solid at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in GA on December 2, 2018. He has a good frame and snaps a nice, accurate ball. Form is good and Westfelt is using his whole body like a champ. Ball is quick and when he is snapping with full power and just letting the ball fly out of his hands, he can easily hit in the mid .7s. Snapping with confidence and snapping hard is going to be what I am looking for at VEGAS XXXIII in January. If he snaps the way I know he can, Westfelt could position himself into a TOP 12 Camp invite! Massive jump in the rankings and well deserved.

Westfelt showed me some good things during the 2018 Rubio Long Snapping Tour. Nice, long frame that has room to put on some good size over the next couple of years and he already can pass an eyeball test right now. His hands are like rockets and I love how well the ball jumps out of the gate. It can actually be hard to time him which is excellent. Love to see  his lower half be as involved as his upper half and just as quick. If Westfelt can speed up his legs and get them fully locked, he would be able to easily snap the ball sub .80 by VEGAS XXXIII in January if not by the fall camps. Kid is a smooth Long Snapper with good upside.

Westfelt did well at the VEGAS XXXII Event in May of 2018. Goof frame and I absolutely love how well he reaches back to the punter. Balance is good and he has the ability to be a very solid athlete on his feet. Strong upper body. Like to see Westfelt focus on slow motion drills to really get his powerful legs involved in the process. If he can do, he will greatly increase the overall use of his lower half which will definitely make his snaps much faster and he can dominate his class. The less thinking he does, the better he will do in the long run. Ball gets back pretty quickly and he is only using half of his body. Imagine if he used it all!

Westfelt was solid at the Rubio Long Snapping spring camp in GA on April 22, 2018. His hands are quick and he gets the ball out of the gate really well. Like to see Westfelt focus on getting his back parallel to the ground so he doesn't hitch his butt down right at the start of the snapping motion. If he can do that, he will get more use of his strong lower half and definitely get more speed on the ball. Slow motion drills will help a ton. Good upside.
