Player Review
Riggs had a great three days at The TOP 12 Camp in CA. His attitude is one of the best to go through Rubio Long Snapping in over a decade. Always smiling and always up for a challenge. At the first session, I put him at the end of the line to say everyone else was better than him at the camp. Many people would have pouted and been done for the next couple days. Riggs stepped up and moved way up the ladder while snapping with confidence and proving everyone wrong. LOVE THAT ON A LONG SNAPPER and a person in general. Great frame. Smooth snaps. Excellent follow through and once his timing is locked down, the ball will be in the .6s. Already quick and his timing between his arms / legs isn't perfect yet. Imagine when they are. Kid is a flat out stud.
Dalton showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXXI Event on January 12-14, 2018. First off, Dalton's potential is off the charts. Built really well, great personality and is an athlete. When he is on, Dalton is very on. Really quick learner. Need to see Dalton focus on making sure he is snapping with his body, his whole body, and not just his arms. When he tries to wind up and really hurl the ball back to the punter, it throws his timing all off and actually slows the ball down. Slow motion drills need to be Dalton's best friend to smooth out his snapping motion. I have seen Dalton snap an easy D1 ball and I know he can do it again. With some fine tuning, he could easily, and I mean easily, be invited to the TOP 12 Camp at VEGAS XXXI. Watch this kid as he is the type of Long Snapper that can jump a hundred spots in one camp.
