Player Review
Player reviews for VEGAS XXXV will be done on YouTube. Please click on top video link above to see the full review.
Jones came over from VA and was super solid at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in NC on October 6th, 2019. Thick and powerful Long Snapper with a good, consistent snap. His snapping motion is smooth and powerful. When he is on and snapping with full power, Jones can easily get the ball in the .7s. Trusting his form and snapping the ball as hard as he possibly can will enable Jones to snap at the next level.
Stewart Jones did well during the Rubio Long Snapping 2019 Summer Tour. He is a very smooth Long Snapper with a ball that is very catchable. Form is good and he is driving his upper body through very well. Balance is good and he is able to use his whole body really well. The more confidence he snaps with and the harder he snaps the ball, the faster Stewart will snap the ball. When he is on, he can hit in the .7s and I want to see that all the time this fall and at VEGAS XXXV in January. Love to see Jones continue to focus on increasing his athleticism as well to really push himself up the rankings.
I really like what I saw out of Jones a the Rubio Long Snapping camp in GA on April 28, 2019. A big snapper who has solid form and flexibility for his size. The biggest hurdle he has to face is himself; I say this because we he snaps as hard as he can and maintains the discipline in his form he is on a different level compared to when he is going through the motions. His best times of the day were when he did exactly this. Really need to see him give max effort every single rep and continue to show the consistency that I know is there for him to jump in the rankings. Vegas XXXIV is a great stage to demonstrate that on, and I know Stuart can do exactly that under the bright lights of Las Vegas!
Stewart showed a lot of upside and potential on March 24, 2019 at the Rubio Long Snapping regional camp in NJ. His form is almost picture perfect. Would like to see him continue work on his spiral to help with the catchability of his ball. Also, continuing to add strength in his lower body will help him increase speed and leverage his awesome form. As he does that I would advise him to aim lower as he already seems to miss high; let the ball climb back to the punter. Future is bright for him!
Jones was solid at a private Long Snapping lesson in Lewiston, ID. in March of 2019. Great attitude, solid worker and he is a quick learner. Ball is easy to catch and his accuracy is solid. Love when he is snapping with full power and confidence. Driving his elbows will create more whip and speed on the ball. By VEGAS XXXIV in May, I would like to see more consistent speed and athelticism. Really good improvement.
