    Player Review

I really liked what I saw out of Sam at the Rubio Long Snapping camp in NJ on October 14, 2018. Big, strong snapper who could physically step onto a college football field right now. Would love to see him get his legs involved more and follow through every single time to help with his consistency and speed. He does these things when he snaps with hard and with all his power, just needs to do it every single time. Once he can put those things together he will be tremendous. Looking forward to his improvement at the next camp

Doughty was solid during the 2018 Rubio Long SNapping Summer Tour. He is a large Long Snapper with very good power throughout his whole body. His hands are quick and his leg drive is coming along nicely. Since he is so massive, I would like to see Doughty continue to focus on widening out so he can increase the overall ability to get his upper body through to the punter. This will make his accuracy on par with a college Long Snapper and enable him to use more of his legs, easier. Upside is off the charts for Doughty. Kid works hard and he is strong as an ox. Big fan of him. Watch him this fall and at VEGAS XXXIII in January.

Doughty did well at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXXI Event on January 12-14, 2018. He is a good athlete that is very thick and strong. When he gets his power going, the ball can really fly back to the punter. Need to see Doughty widen out a bit to get more comfortable and to use all of his massive frame. Once his legs are locked and he is going back to the punter, he will easily be snapping the ball sub .75. Type of Long Snapper that can easily move up the rankings quickly. WATCH THIS KID

Doughty did well at the Rubio Long Snapping spring camp in GA on April 22, 2018. Big and strong Long Snapper that snaps a very powerful ball back to the punter. His hands are like rockets and the ball jumps out of the gate extremely well. Tons and tons of potential. Like to see Doughty focus on making sure his spiral is locked down. His ball is so quick that if the ball is not tight, it will be very hard for the punter to catch. Very excited to see Doughty progress over the next couple of years and see how he can compete at VEGAS XXXII in May. Potential.

Doughty was solid at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in GA on December 3rd, 2017. Starting form is very good and he is doing a really solid job of reaching back to the punter. Ball is clean and he has some good accuracy. Like to see Doughty focus on slow motion drills to get his lower half fully involved to gain more speed and also leading with his elbows to create more whip. Both of these actions will give him more consistent speed to get him under .80 at VEGAS XXXI. Good upside and he has a good frame.

Sam did really well at the Rubio Long Snapping spring camp in GA on April 30, 2017. He has some quick hands and is strong. Solid frame and he can pass an eyeball test from a coach. Love to see him not think so much and make sure he gets his lower half fully involved to gain more speed on the ball. Slow motion drills will help a ton to fully utilize his legs. Kid is dripping with potential and could dominate at VEGAS 30.
