    Player Review

Floyd was impressive at the Rubio Long Snapping Midwest Fall Camp on December 9th, 2018. His ball is really powerful and comes back with good speed. Great frame and he can pass for a college Long Snapper right now, let alone in two years. I absolutely love when he has back to parallel to the ground since he won’t knee hitch. He is very strong and doesn’t need to dip his but pre-snap at all. That motion actually slows him down. When Floyd is on, he is very on and can easily snap a D1 ball. I would limit his reps and just focus on quickness and smoothness of form. Great talent and definitely someone that could push for a TOP 12 Camp invite at VEGAS XXXIII in January.

Floyd was very impressive at the Rubio Long Snapping Spring Camp in IL on April 7th, 2018. Kid is massive and overflowing with power. I’ll tell you this right off the bat, Floyd could be one most dominant Long Snappers in his class in no time at all. His ball was really humming all day long and it can put a hole in the punter. He is using his whole, massive, body very well and his hands are quick. Consistency of speed and really getting his eyes through will increase his overall accuracy and speed. Keep a very close eye on Byron at VEGAS XXXII in May. If he snaps the way I know he can, he could lock up a TOP 12 spot very quickly.

Byron was extremely solid at the Rubio Long Snapping Spring Camp in NC on March 11, 2018. He is a big and strong Long Snapper that moves with a purpose at all times. Byron snaps a powerful ball that can easily hover in the mid to low .7s when he lets it rip. Athletically, he is going to be a factor on the punt coverage team. Like to see Byron smooth out his snapping motion to gain more accuracy and consistency. He is snapping with great force, which I love, but want to see him dominate a camp with his accuracy now as well. Upside is off the charts for Byron.

Floyd had a great day at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in OH on December 17, 2017. Frame is very good and he is able to snap the ball with some good power. When Floyd is on, he is very on and can rip the ball back to the punter. Easily can hit under .85 when he lets the ball fly out of his hands. Need to see Floyd extend the ball out a bit more to create more whip on the ball. Getting more whip on the ball will give him more speed as well. Kid is good and headed towards great. Locking down his consistency of speed is going to be huge for the rankings even after his massive jump this time!

Floyd was solid at the Rubio Long Snapping spring camp in NC on March 12, 2017. He has a good, strong frame and can snap with some good power. Floyd uses his legs well and gets some solid pop on the ball. Love to see him focus on making sure he is always going BACK and not UP, then back. Going up first is really taking the power/speed off of his snap. This small fix will EASILY move him way up the rankings at VEGAS 30. I really like his attitude and his potential. Easily could walk out of VEGAS 30 with a 3.5 or even 4 Stars. CONSISTENCY of speed and handling pressure will be huge for him.
