    Player Review

Hooker did well at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in TX on November 18th, 2018. He was just coming off a car accident (not his fault and he is fine) and still wanted to come out to show what he has got to all of the TX camp. Even though he was obviously very sore, Hooker still showed his greatness and was able to make the finals! To say this is impressive, is quite an understatement. Form, per his norm, was solid yet again. The way he was snapping, if he was healthy, he most likely would have won the whole camp. Just the fact that he was there showed me a ton. Kid is a stud.

Hooker was very solid throughout the summer in TX and at the TOP 12 Camp in CA. When he gets hot, Hooker can flat out dominate a camp. Smooth snapping motion and his ball can pop out of the gate. Need to see him focus on driving his elbows to create more whip and consistent speed on the ball. I am a big fan of Hooker's attitude. The first two days of the TOP 12 Camp, Hooker was not at his best but he came back on the third day EXTREMELY strong and was great! Not many Long Snappers have that ability and Hooker definitely does.

Hooker was great at the VEGAS XXXII Event in May of 2018. He was snapping with a great deal of confidence and was handling pressure well. Definitely improving his overall strength and it is paying off with his Long Snapping. Form is excellent and he is moving better on his feet. The harder he snaps the ball, the better hooker looks out of the field. Great attitude and he works very hard.

Hooker was extremely impressive at the Rubio Long Snapping spring camp in TX on April 29th, 2018. He was on a mission and left no doubt he is one of the top Long Snappers in his class. Body is getting bigger and stronger by the second. Ball speeds are consistently in the mid to high .7s and he can even dip into the low .7s when he lets the ball fly out of his hands, with full confidence, and the spiral is locked down. Not over gripping the ball when trying to snap with full power will make sure his spiral is tight, the ball is easy to catch and it slices through the wind. Great attitude and he is always going to make a coach happy. Spiral and athleticism is what I am going to watching, like a hawk, at VEGAS XXXII in May.

Hooker did well at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXXI Event on January 12-14, 2018. Ball is really starting to increase in speed and Hooker has some very quick hands. Like to see him adjust his release point a bit more to increase his overall accuracy. Also, increasing the overall quickness of his snapping motion will help out with ball speed as well. Bottom line, moving his whole body down when moving through the agility section and making sure his snaps are not so high will make Hooker a flat out dominant Long Snapper in his class. Big fan of Hooker’s attitude and how he is always improving.

Hooker had a solid at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in GA on December 3rd, 2017. Like in TX a couple weeks prior (see below) he was one of the more dominant Long Snappers in his class. Consistency is going to be the big key in getting Hooker to move up to a 4.5 star Rubio Long Snapper. Times can range from low .7s to low .8s and I want zero snaps above .79 and I know Hooker can do that easily. Confidence in his snapping and really letting the ball go with the same release point is going to be huge for Hooker. Good attitude and always improving.

Hooker was outstanding all day at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in TX on November 12, 2017. He was so hot in TX that he actually made it to the last several Long Snappers during the speed testing again two dominant 2018 Long Snappers. Form is great, he works very hard and he is obviously snapping the ball with great power as the snap speeds can hover into the low .7s. Like to see a bit more consistency so he never hovers about .8 at VEGAS XXXI. Tons of greatness coming out of Hooker. Excellent attitude.
