    Player Review

Cruz was extremely solid at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in CA on October 28, 2018. Cruz tied for the highest RSI of the camp with UCLA bound Long Snapper, Jack Landherr. Snaps one of the most powerful balls in his class with times that are always under .80 for a 15 yard snap. Form is good and he is able to use all of his body extremely well. Thick and powerful Long Snapper that moves with a purpose on his feet and is very quick on them as well. moves better than you think he would. The quicker his hands get and the more he drives his chest through, the better he will do. Very close to being a 5 Star Rubio Long Snapper.

Cruz had a great day at the summer camp in CA. Strong Long Snapper that moves very well on his feet. Quick athlete. Second highest RSI of the day and made it to the last round before, respectfully, losing to Simon Samarzich. His snap speeds hover in the mid to low .7s and his accuracy is obviously solid. The more he gets set and really focuses on getting his eyes through, the better Cruz will be for the long haul.

Cruz did very well throughout the summer in CA. First, at the camp at the end of June, then he really blossomed at the TOP 12 camp. He handles pressure well and snaps with a very good deal of power. Cruz has really good quickness on his feet and is a pure athlete. When he follows all the way through and snaps with his fingers, he is as good as anyone in his class. Very good potential on this strong and athletic Long Snapper from Southern California.

Cruz had a great day at the Rubio Long Snapping spring camp in CA on March 4th, 2018. Cruz is a very thick and powerful Long Snapper with great form. His hands are quick and strong. Balance is good and he moves really well on his feet. When you look at him, you see a thicker Long Snapper so you doubt he can move well on his feet but he is light on his feet and did well during the agility section of the camp. Ball is easily hovering in the mid .7s and could be in the .6s if he really drives his head through to the punter. Making sure he is reaching all the way back with his fingers will increase his accuracy and push up his RSI. Great upside and Cruz is coming along nicely.

Cruz did well at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in CA on October 29, 2017. Very thick and strong Long Snapper that has good power for his age. Kid is strong and can snap a powerful ball. Times can dip into the mid .7s. If Cruz can focus on getting his eyes/head through, he will gain even more speed and a ton more accuracy. His follow through is going to be key in moving up the rankings as that will control his accuracy and consistency which will lead right into his RSI. Moves well on his feet for his size and has excellent potential. Cruz will be as good/great as he wants to be. All on him and how hard/smart he works on his craft.
