    Player Review
Hughes did well at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS EVENT on January 19-20, 2019. He is a thick and strong Long Snapper with very good starting form and balance. Love his attitude and he is always improving a good deal. Good quickness on his hands and he can flick the ball back to the punter well. Leg lock is very good and he is using his lower half well. Like to see Scout focus on really leading his elbows to create more whip on the ball which will equate to more speed. Also, increasing his overall athleticism will help push him well up in the 4 star ranking and higher. Big fan of Scout's attitude.

Hughes was solid at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in GA on December 2, 2018. He is a big and strong Long Snapper that is powerful. Uses his lower half well and gets some good pop with his legs. Love his attitude and he listens well. Need to see Hughes focus on getting his eyes all the way through. Getting his eyes/head through will greatly increase his speed and accuracy since it will allow him to reach through more and hit the proper release point. So strong and powerful that he can easily hit in the .7s when he really drives his eyes/head through. That’s Hughes key to greatness.

Scout showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXXI Event on January 12-14, 2018. Thick and strong Long Snapper with really good starting form. Balance is good and he reaches back well. Like to see Scout be a little quicker out of the gate and not slide the ball on the ground. Scout shows good potential and power throughout. Controlling his body while moving on his feet will really push him up the rankings and get him heavily on a college scouts radar. Upside is good and I like his workhorse attitude.

Scout did well at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in NC on November 19, 2017. Strong Long Snapper with good pop on his legs and solid balance. Moves well on his feet for his size and he has a tremendous attitude. Kid is always happy and makes those around him better. Like to see Scout not think so much when he is over the ball. The more he thinks, the more he thinks and that never works out well for a Long Snapper. Also, making sure he is not rolling into the snapping motion will help a ton. Love to see Scout really drive his head through to the punter to create more power and speed on the ball. Need to see Scout at sub .85 at VEGAS XXXI and I know he can do it with his size, attitude and pop.

ll Long Snappers were tested on The Rubio Target. Each Long Snapper was tested on 12 punt snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set) and 12 pat snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set). Once the Long Snapper has completed the test, they earn an RSI which is the fairest and most accurate way to judge a Long Snapper by numbers. Please note: the RSI does not account for athleticism, spiral or mentality. RSI (Rubio Standard Index): The RSI is the score divided by the average speed on The Rubio Target. You may obtain 2 bonus points for an average of .75-.79, 2 more bonus points for an average of .70-.74 and an additional 2 more bonus points if you average below .70.
