    Player Review

Gabriel Cervantes was very solid at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in CA on October 25th, 2020. First off, this JC Long Snapper can pass an eyeball test easily. His frame is excellent and Cervantes is built strong and athletic. Moves well on his feet and he should have no problem being a factor on the punt coverage team. Form is good and he snaps a powerful ball that hovers in the .7s. If Cervantes can speed up the beginning of his snapping motion to lessen the hitch, he will be snapping in the .6s and will never miss The Rubio Zone. Massive potential on Cervantes. Very good personality

Cervantes showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXXI Event on January 12-14, 2018. Frame is very long and he has room to put on some good weight over the next couple of years. Moves well on his feet and is a factor on the punt coverage team. Cervantes is definitely an athlete that can snap a ball. Like to see Cervantes focus on making sure he is leading with both elbows and not dipping his right shoulder. If he can make sure he is not lifting and cupping the ball with his right arm, he will greatly increase his overall speed and accuracy. Potential is off the charts and he can definitely snap at the next level with some fine tuning.

Cervantes had a great couple days at the Rubio Long Snapping TOP 12 Camp in Tampa, FL. He is a very long, pure atlhlete that moves well down field and has a nice, consistent ball. Frame will be able to put on some good weight over the next couple of years and he listens well. Ball is quick and will be faster with more overall strength. Making sure he gets both hands all the way through with each snap will be huge in locking down his accuracy. Slight issue with the ball going side to side is slowing his process to a 5 Star Rubio Long Snapper but he is right on the cusp of it. Love his overall attitude and work ethic.
