    Player Review
    Rubio Long Snapping History

    Student Since: 2009

    Latest Evaluation: 7/12

The more Erik gets set and comfortable, the better he is. Incredibly strong and built. The kid is like a rock. Athletic Long Snapper that is also dominant in rugby (regarded as one of the best in the state of CA). Uses his whole body well and is starting to really snap with confidence. When he just trusts his form and lets the ball go, after he sets of course, he has the ability to lock on and basically becomes a juggs machine back to the punter. Very accurate. Hard worker.

Erik is extremely close to moving up the ladder to a 4.5 and eventual 5 star Long Snapper. Ball is very accurate and he shows tidal waves of brilliance. Solid with his blocking and his footwork is excellent. Needs to fine tune his consistency and make every snap count. If he can do it once (easily), he can do it over and over and over again. Very tough Long Snapper with a vibrant personality. TOP 12 and EVENT ELITE Evaluation 6/12

Erik came out on a mission to make the EVENT ELITE in May and did not disappoint. Snaps the ball with solid accuracy and ability to snap it very hard. He is built like an absolute rock and is very athletic. Never backs down from a challenge and has a huge upside. Form is solid and he moves well on his feet. Summer is going to be all about locking down blocking and learning to snap hard every single snap. Very hard worker that listens well. 5/12

Erik continues to impress me with his form and ability to snap harder than it looks that he should. Body is like an absolute piece of steel right now and once the Thompson height kicks in, his form and strength will allow him to really get the ball going back there. Smooth Long Snapper that is accurate and consistent. Slight issue with him rising up before coming back should be resolved within a week or two if I know Erik. Extremely tough Long Snapper.  3/12

Erik is, by far, one of the toughest Long Snappers in the country. Obviously not a giant, but you would never guess it by his attitude or his willing to go against anyone. When he is on and he is going back and through instead of up and through, he snaps bullets that are right on target. As stated, he can have an issue with going up right off the bat instead of going back. This will throw off the process and the accuracy. Great flexibility so it is an easy fix. The final thing would be to ensure his hands get all the way through with each snap to create the nice spiral. Kid handles pressure very, very well. Infectious personality. Extremely coachable.  1/12

Erik is growing and this could be bad news for the others within his class. Continues to have excellent form and drive. Now that he is getting bigger and more muscular, it is all coming together. Ball is quick and he is beginning to snap with a lot of confidence. Very, very accurate. As long as he keeps growing and remembers to come back, instead of up and back, he should be headed for greatness. 12/11

Erik has probably the best form for Long Snapping and blocking within his class. As soon as he gets bigger, it will happen just as it did with older brother Scotty, he will be terrific. I can say without a doubt that if Erik was 6'2" and 220 lbs right now he would EASILY be number one in the class. A true student of Long Snapping that doesn't shy away from anyone bigger than him. Watching this one grow over the years is going to be joy for me and pain for other Long Snappers within his class. 10/11

Erik is one of the toughest Long Snappers I have seen. Form is amazing (even with a hiccup within his hip flexor in Vegas) and enables him to generate good speed for his size. Gets in front of people very well and his blocking is very solid. Doesn't shy away from anyone. Snaps hard. Like i have said before, if Erik was bigger (which will happen since I know he comes from a long line of late growers) he would EASILY be in one of the top spots within his class. Tremendous personality.
