Player Review
Peter Nelson was solid at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in IL on December 11th, 2022. His starting form is gorgeous and he dies a great job of using his whole athletic body in his snapping motion. Peter gets down, gets set and explodes back to the punter. Really athletic Long Snapper that has room to put on some good weight over the next couple of years. Locking down his spiral and gaining a bit more size will be huge for him at VEGAS XLI in January and beyond. Really smooth and consistent Long Snapper with a tremendous attitude. His college coach will love him.
Peter did really well at the Rubio Long Snapping TOP 12 Camp on Jul 12-14, 2022. Tremendous personality that his college coaches are going to love on and off the field. Driving his elbows will be a big key for Nelson to gain even more speed on the ball back to the punter. Moves really well on his feet and there is no doubt Peter will be a factor on the punt coverage team. Smooth Long Snapper that will dominate when he trusts his form and snaps the ball as hard as he can at all times. Great upside and he will make his college coach very happy for four to five years. Excellent on and off the field.
Peter Nelson was very good at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XL Event on May 14-15, 2022. First off, he has one of the best personalities in his entire class. Always smiling and relaxed. His college coach will love those aspects about him on and off the field. Moves really well on his feet and he had no problems with the agility section of the weekend. Love to see Peter put on some weight over the next couple of years. Snapping as hard as he can will be huge for Peter at the TOP 12 Camp!
